State Rep. Dan Branch, R-Dallas, will announce today that he's running for re-election to the District 108 seat in the Texas House. He represents the Park Cities and parts of Dallas.
Since joining the Legislature in 2003, Mr. Branch has had key positions on the House appropriations, calendar and education committees. He's also chairman of a House select committee on school finance.
Dallas Democrat Emil Reichstadt plans to challenge Mr. Branch in the general election.
Mr. Branch is taking his re-election campaign seriously. He's raised $500,000 for the effort, with more cash on the way.
