Representative Branch spoke to an SMU law student association regarding current infrastructure challenges facing the Dallas metroplex, as well as the 2008 Presidential Election.

Representative Dan Branch joined Dallas Mayor Tom Leppert, Dallas ISD Superintendent Dr. Michael Hinojosa, North Dallas High School Principal Eduardo Hernandez and other city leaders in "Operation Comeback".  The Saturday morning event began with a kickoff on the stairs of North Dallas High School, followed by visits to several North Dallas students who had not reported for school this semester.  Mayor Leppert, Rep. Branch, Dr. Hinojosa and Principal Hernandez encouraged all the students throughout the morning to come back to school and promised to work with the students, no matter the struggles they faced, and cross the finish line with a high school diploma.

Representative Branch spoke to members of TCEA at their Austin Headquarters about the upcoming legislative session. Rep. Branch discussed the advantages of technology in the classroom and possible legislative solutions for aligning taxpayer dollars for education with our statewide education goals.
