As the Nov. 2 elections quickly approach, The Daily Campus' Editorial Board has chosen to endorse the following candidates for Texas Governor, for the Texas House of Representatives and for the 32nd Texas Congressional District.
Principal for a Day at Travis Academy
Rep. Dan Branch served as Principal for a Day at William B. Travis Academy in Uptown Dallas. Rep. Branch joined Travis Principal Mari Smith on campus and met with the school's top teachers and students. In addition, Branch was interviewed by the managing editor of the new school newspaper for the inaugural issue.

Texas Speaker of the House visits Campus

Students, faculty, staff, and community members gathered at the Tower Center for an early morning breakfast briefing with Speaker of the Texas House Joe Straus on Friday, Oct. 1.
Speaker Straus was introduced by Representative Dan Branch, a long-time friend and partner in the Texas legislature.
As a former summer intern of Senator John Goodwin Tower, Straus expressed his enthusiasm to be speaking at the Tower Center for Political Studies.
