Rep. Branch delivered the morning coffee and visited with many residents of Vickery Towers at Belmont.  The Senior Living community is located in the Vickery Place neighborhood of East Dallas.

Representative Dan Branch paid an early Saturday morning visit to James Bonham Elementary School to present Principal Sandra Fernandez and the Bonham PTA members with a flag flown over the Texas Capitol in honor of Bonham being rated an "exemplary" school for the sixth year in a row. After giving a few remarks, Branch chatted with Ms. Fernandez and several parents and students in the cafeteria of the East Dallas school.

Representative Branch fired up the crowd at the Woodrow Wilson High School Homecoming Pep Rally.  Students, teachers and parents cheered as Branch wished the Wildcats football and volleyball teams luck during their homecoming games this weekend.  Later, Branch visited with Woodrow Principal Ruth Vail and many parents at the homecoming cookout.

Representative Dan Branch toured the UT Dallas Center for BrainHealth with Appropriations Chairman Chisum and Reps. Isett, Harper-Brown, Hartnett, Jackson, Madden, and McCall. Considered a top funding priority for UT Dallas, the Center conducts cutting-edge brain research and clinical interventions for hundreds of individuals in Dallas.

Rep. Branch visited William Lipscomb Elementary, bringing "Lipscomb Pride" signs for parents and school patrons.  Branch had the signs produced for the school and PTA to help in their ongoing community building efforts in historic Junius Heights.  After the morning bell rang, Branch joined in leading the morning announcements, as well as the Pledges of Allegiance and minute of silence.

Representative Branch emceed a luncheon in honor of Vice Presidential Candidate Governor Sarah Palin at the Fairmont Hotel in Downtown Dallas. Hundreds gathered at the luncheon to see Governor Palin following her successful appearance in the Vice Presidential Debate held the previous evening.
